In pain and need a quick fix?
Something hurts and you want to move, sleep, work or get through your day more comfortably. Relief matters. It is a perfectly reasonable place to start.
Your body was designed to handle stress. But what happens when the stress never stops?
Discover the Muhr Method—a system designed around how your body responds, adapts and recovers.
We all have stress. The body responds, adapts and then returns to recovery—where healing and repair happen best.
But modern stress rarely has a clean ending. The body keeps compensating, pushing forward and getting us through the day. Over time, it may stop returning fully to recovery and gradually lose some of its capacity to heal, repair and remain resilient.
It happens slowly enough that we learn to live with it. We call it getting older because everyone around us seems to be experiencing the same thing.
But what if there were something you could do about it?
Something hurts and you want to move, sleep, work or get through your day more comfortably. Relief matters. It is a perfectly reasonable place to start.
You have felt better before, but the same problem keeps returning. You want to understand why nothing seems to stick.
You do not need to wait until something breaks. You want to improve how your body moves, functions, adapts and recovers.
You want to protect your mobility, energy, resilience and ability to keep doing the things that matter to you.
Your reason for starting is yours. Dr. Muhr's job is to understand what you want, explain what he finds and give you his best recommendation. What you choose to do is up to you.
Hands-on chiropractic care, objective measurement and carefully selected technologies working together—not a collection of disconnected treatments.
Breathing, mobility, stretching and sensory input can help prepare the body for change and improve the quality of the work that follows.
Chiropractic care is central. When appropriate, focused shockwave, class IV laser and other targeted therapies may support the correction phase.
Recovery is not dead time. Strategies such as IHHT, NuCalm and guided breathing can help create the conditions for better recovery and adaptation.
“I have known and been a patient of Dr. Muhr for over 10 years. He is a knowledgeable and caring doctor who consistently goes above and beyond to do what is best for his patients.”

Before we talk about a plan, we need to understand you, what you want and what your evaluation shows.
First Visit: $175
Please allow approximately one hour. Treatment, when provided, is charged separately.
Your history, goals, examination, posture, grip strength, HRV, Stress Index and other appropriate measurements help us identify the patterns that matter.
Dr. Muhr explains what stands out, what it may mean, and begins care when appropriate.
If NeuroBalance is a fit, we discuss what it will take to change the pattern and decide together what comes next.
“After 30 years in practice, I realized that helping someone hurt less wasn't always the same as helping them become healthier.”
Dr. Muhr has practiced since 1996 in Minnesota, Texas and North Carolina. His postgraduate training includes chiropractic orthopedics and chiropractic neurology, and his clinical work has included spine-related pain, headaches, posture, movement problems and recovery challenges.
NeuroBalance is the office he wanted to practice in: personal, unhurried enough to think, grounded in hands-on chiropractic care, and open to useful technology when it genuinely improves the patient experience.
No. Pain is often the reason people start, but the broader focus is function, movement, recovery and resilience. Recommendations depend on what you need and what we find.
No decision is made before your evaluation and findings are discussed. If ongoing care is recommended, Dr. Muhr explains why, what the goals are, and what your options look like.
No. The Muhr Method is a framework. Chiropractic care is central, while movement, laser, shockwave, IHHT, NuCalm, HRV and other strategies are used selectively when they fit the case.
